Advantages and Disadvantages of Mesh Topology

Submitted by frndzzz on Wed, 03/06/2019 - 03:40

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Mesh Topology are as follows. So let us check it out some advantages and disadvantages to know more about mesh topology. In mesh topology all nodes connect directly with each other and cooperate to distribute data amongst each other. Mesh topology can be used for smart HVAC control, home automation and smart buildings.

Advantages of Mesh Topology are:

  1. In mesh topology expansion of nodes is easy and possible.
  2. Easy to find out faults and the maintenance is easier.
  3. If one of the nodes get damaged then other hierarchical networks are not affected.
  4. The performance is not affected with heavy load of data transmission.
  5. In mesh topology the data privacy and security is ensured because every message travels along a dedicated link.
  6. Mesh topology has multiple links so if one route is damaged or blocked then other routes can be used for data transmission.
  7. Mesh topology is robust.
  8. Centralized management is not required as in star topology.
  9. Communication is not disrupted.

Disadvantages of Mesh Topology are:

  1. In mesh topology it becomes difficult to manage if the network becomes extremely large.
  2. A lot of maintenance is needed in mesh topology.
  3. Huge cabeling is needed in mesh topology.
  4. The entire segment goes down if the backbone line breakes.
  5. It is difficult to install.
  6. Because of large number of cablings and other parts, mesh topology becomes very expensive.

Other types of topology can be tree topology, start topology, ring topology, hybrid topology, network topology, point to point topology and fully connected topology.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Ring topology are as follows. So let us find some of the advantages and disadvantages to know more about ring topology. Ring topology is kind of network topology in which each nodes connects to exactly two other nodes and forms a single continuous for signals through each nodes. In ring network data travels from node to node.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Star Topology

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Star Topology are as follows. So let us find out some points on advantages and disadvantages to know more about star topology. Star topology is a topology for LAN - Local Area Network in which all nodes are connected individually to a central connection point known as hub or a switch. Many home network uses star topology. It requires more cables compared to bus topology. Some of the points on star topology are listed below.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Tree Topology

Submitted by frndzzz on Wed, 03/06/2019 - 03:58

The Advantages and disadvantages of Tree topology are as follows. So let us check it out some advantages and disadvantages to know more about tree topology. In tree network or tree topology the structure or many connected elements are arranged like a branch of a tree. Network of tree topology are often used to organize the computer in a corporate network or the information in a database.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Bus Topology

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Bus Topology are as follows. So let us check out points on advantages and disadvantages to know more about bus topology. It is a type of topology for a local area network (LAN) in which all the nodes are connected to a single cable. The cable through which nodes are connected is knows as "backbone", if it breaks then the entire sement may fail. Bus topology consists of main run of a cable with a terminator at each end.

Definition of Supply Chain Management

Supply Chain management can be considered as an effective tool for improving business process. It starts with the source of supply and competes at the point of consumption. Supply chain management is a flow of information and materials from suppliers which involves number of value added process and different distribution channels to the customers.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Cloud Computing are as follows, So let us check it out one by one.

Advantages

The following are the advantages of cloud computing :

1. More Secure

Cloud computing is more secure than traditional IT system. Cloud computing provides users with capabilities to store their process and data in third party data centers. Cloud security consist of set of controls, policies, technologies and procedures that works together to protect colud based system.
